"Hopefully, one day I will write a book that is also published by PEEKASH Books."
Congratulations, Alliehsa.
![]() We have a winner! Congratulations to Alliesha Andrews of Trinidad and Tobago who won our contest to name the new Caribbean publishing imprint. Peekash Books will launch its first title in 2014: an anthology of Caribbean entries in the Commonwealth Short Story Prize. Editors from Peepal Tree Press and Akashic Books, the houses collaborating on the imprint, selected the name from dozens of entries from the Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Canada, England, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Nigeria, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda and the USA. Alliesha entered the contest when she saw a tweet from @CaribLit. "I thought 'wouldn't it be exciting to be the one who comes up with that name.' I am quite ecstatic that it was chosen. "Hopefully, one day I will write a book that is also published by PEEKASH Books." Congratulations, Alliehsa. Comments are closed.
